Warming the Festival Republic stage at Leeds for the mighty Rival Schools is no small task, but And So I Watch You From Afar march on and embarrass the three days of bands who have preceded them.
Cooler than a polar bear that’s just succumbed to hypothermia, the instrumental Belfast four-piece don’t even need a microphone to get their message across with all the ferocity of a hundred fireworks.
Imagine the chase scene scores from every action film ever made, mixed up into one ugly, ramped-up, super tune, literally bursting with heart-arresting drama and emotion; every guitar note and lightning-fast drumbeat ringing out like a fatal gunshot.
With something from both the old and new albums, as well as the ‘Letters EP‘, the explosive ASIWYFA delight their faithful, ever-moshing fans tonight.
The headliners have a job on their hands following this!
