T in the Park organiser, Geoff Ellis, has hinted he'll be inviting Amy Winehouse to play at the festival next year, despite the singer pulling out of this summer's event.
The ‘Rehab’ star was originally set to play the Radio 1/NME Stage on the Saturday of the Scottish event back in June but she cancelled her appearance due to “exhaustion”.
However with the festival reaching its 15th anniversary next summer organisers have admitted they would like to have Winehouse perform as part of their celebrations.
Speaking to the Daily Record Geoff Ellis said: “It would make sense to try and get Amy back. She's even bigger now than when we booked her.”
Winehouse suffered a drugs overdose shortly after pulling out of Scotland’s biggest festival but Ellis suggested she wants to make amends for the cancellation.
He said: “She was really upset she couldn't do it. Her manager is a mate of mine and I know he was really gutted when he phoned to say she couldn't make it.”
