American Headcharge have vowed to play Download in honour of their late guitarist, Bryan Ottoson, who died recently. The band has promised to perform 'the music Bryan loved'.
Ottoson was found dead in his tour bus bunk on 19 April from a suspected prescription drug overdose.
The remaining band members are set to perform on the Snickers stage on Saturday 11 June, their only UK show this year.
They said in a statement: “Bryan was a vital member of our group and a key songwriter. Words cannot convey the depth of our sadness, but we want our fans to be able to hear the music Bryan loved.”
Download 2005 takes place between 10-12 June at Donington Park, Leicestershire, featuring Black Sabbath, Feeder, System Of A Down and more.
