Aloe Blacc opened the final day of Kent's Hop Farm Festival 2011, getting "down like James Brown" in a set that nodded towards Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.

After taking to the stage during an instrumental ‘I Need a Dollar’ which he later performed in full, the singer encouraged an eager crowd to spread the love by shouting their mother’s name, shaking hands with a stranger and hugging loved ones during ‘You Make Me Smile’.

Today (Sunday 3 July) will also see performances from Eliza Doolittle, Tinie Tempah and Prince, who is set to make his UK festival debut.
