AC/DC were honoured with the Best Headliner gong at the UK Festival Awards for their performance at Download Festival back in June.

The Aussie group rocked their own purpose-built stage as they played to the full capacity crowd of over 90,000.

The other stages had closed beforehand to allow punters the chance to see the band's spectacular fireworks display, jets of flame for 'TNT', canons on 'For Those About To Rock' as well as classics 'Back In Black', ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' and 'Highway To Hell'.

The UK Festival Awards continue tonight (Thursday) at the indigO2 in London

Best Major, Best Medium-Sized and Best Small festival awards are to be announced later tonight as the UK Festival Awards continue.

A full list of winners will appear on Virtual Festivals after the show.
