EVERY heckING YEAR....

As I have said every year ad nauseum....GOD does not keep his eye on ticket sales with a view to letting you (or your mates) know when there are only two left...The Knowledge kindly posts when tickets are getting scarce....surely that is enough, but no......

Most of us aren't rich enough* (or even greedy enough) to sort of buy a few spares just so we can bail out your 'mates', some people complain about folks selling tickets on ebay (and not through the very worthy Scarlet Mist) and them being 'like, y'know ........ BREADHEADS..... but people like your 'mates' are always going to be available to profit from so why the hell not I say.....

Now one of the nice kind board members, in the hope of keeping the board clear of all the whinging 'well I meant to buy a ticket but i was abducted by aliens' or 'I've been like travelling in Kurdistan' will start a nice list and your mates if they are lucky will be put on it...however how are they going to know that someone does wish to sell them ticket?

So, in short, and to all our future whiners this year ..sort your stupid lives out.

*Although I do always buy a couple of extra van tickets so I can have a bit of a 'garden' around the camper.

Love and peace y'all

Ooooooo - Cybertec - that is a little (just a little mind you) harsh.....

I'm here looking for tickets as well - only just got my life sorted enough to buy my ticket and checked yesterday (money not in the bank till today) and so thought I may sneak under the wire as it were.... but nope..... blew it.....

So yep - I'm after one - or maybe three tickets......

and I thought I'd come here first - hoping for another slightly more organised (read working and richer) person that may have bought too many tickets - but may only wish to charge me the proper price - all in the spirit of stripyness :P

So if any helpful bunnies are reading this - please PM me - and hopefully we can come to a mutually beneficial arrangement ;)

Keep Hippy people :)

cybertec - there's no need for that, is there?

To everyone else, if you have a spare ticket (maybe because you bought one but can no longer go or something) I'd very much like to buy it. Post on here and we'll sort it out.

Thanks very much. I hope to see you all at the fest :)

Ok it seems I have volunteered this year, and the campervan list is working ok so here goes.

If you need to add to the list just copy and paste this into your post, then add your name at the bottom of the list

Dublin Ed - 2
Willing_Sinner - 1/3
stevysteve - 1
name added here :clapping:

Alternatively please come back and take your name off the list if you are lucky enough to get one, then maybe you will want to stick around and chat, talk rubbish and generally waffle with the rest of us. :)

If you are selling(do I need to mention cost price only please, we dont like touting :ranting: )please contact the person(by private message) at the top of the list first, they have been waiting longest

I think that should be easy enough for people to do and hopefully we wont be driven mad by posts all over the place.

Yes there is need for that, because every year we get this as soon tickets sell out. The problem isnt that people need to buy tickets, the problem is that as you have just proved, people turn inconsiderate and selfish and think they are the only person to ever to need a ticket. You joined the forum today for the sole purposed of trying to buy a ticket, you then started a new thread just for you before you bothered to read anything and find this thread somone else had started for ticket sales.

Anyway a list has now been set up, you are on it and believe it or not I wish you luck in your quest, but please everyone lets try to make 'THE LIST' work, for everybodies sake. :peace:

Dear Cybertec,

When I saw your reply I immediately thought http://www.youtube.c...h?v=vS5QMT-JUt4

but then again maybe I was being a little harsh, anyway I have thankfully managed to source another 2 tickets for Beautiful Days (please remove my name from any tickets required list)

as for sorting my stupid life out, should you have any suggestions I am more than welcome to hear your ideas. You should be able to locate me quite easily I am the 16st gobby Irish bollix that will be holding court in the Beer Tent and environs from early on the Friday.

Pog mo thoin amadan! :bum:

This is exactly why I love this Forum.
Our old friend Cybertec is absolutely right and the only people who might possibly be granted exemption from his ire are those who have never been to BD before.
But everyone else knows the system, knows that it sells out in early July
and that The Knowledge gives fair warning.
Why is it so difficult!! :whistling:

Have to check the You Tube one out later...i'm also very easy to find should you want a word. I'm the sixteen stone gobby biker, who (I think) is friendly and very approachable but won't put up with others bad manners or bullshit.

My point has been made....I do have the utmost sympathy with those going through 'Hard Times', however those 'hard times' mean we all have to make more choices as to what we want or can afford to do. In my world, food, drink and shelter for me and my loved ones comes far above going to festivals so consequently I get a little pissed off with people who 'suddenly' i.e. the day after tickets are sold out 'suddenly' have the finances available but through 'bad luck' have so far been unable to come up with the money. Those of us who are regular posters on the site - and the more the merrier! - have to put up with same old sob stories year in year out, when we would much rather just have a laugh or share useful information.

So to conclude for next year.....

Beautiful Days ALWAYS sells out

Campervan Tickets ALWAYS sell out sooner

Tickets go on sale March(?)

The Knowledge (mod) ALWAYS posts when ticket are becoming short.

..surely this is a no brainer?

as for your Irish.... please, i'm a grown up and I have many Irish friends

...thats very true Trillion, these forums are quite a difficult thing to gauge as you have no 'eye' (or ear!) contact which you would have in the real world.

As i'm relatively old, i've still got 'old' values, which are based around growing up with real people as opposed to the virtual world which we increasingly inhabit today....which is complete with a whole new set of etiquettes that all of us are still learning...and still working out!

My 'rule of thumb' is that i never 'say' anything on here that i would not be quite happy saying to someones face..personally I don't think this is a bad rule to work to.

Problem with that is, like in the "real world", one becomes more daring as one becomes more drunk !!
