CampingRather important aspect of the festival, this one, and probably one that causes more grief to the festival goer than any other as there is no guide book, which is a shame, as camping at festivals is both an art-form and a science. Festival Survival for GIRLSBoys are fine at festivals - they don't wash for days at home, anyway, and all they care about is bands, booze and, er, girls (which is ironic considering the washing thing). Girls, on the other hand, have a whole different set of considerations at festivals (and in general). Things like hair, make-up, feminine hygiene and seducing their favourite rockstars (ironic considering touring rockstars wash LESS than regular boys anyway!) |

The WeatherThe one factor that no man (except Paul McCartney) can control - the weather genuinely enjoys ruining people's fun at festivals - and it will always try to, by soaking you to the skin or scorching your skin lobster-red. But it's a dumb, clumsy beast and it although it can't be stopped, it can easily be out-witted! |

Drugs & BoozeWell it is a festival! Illegal substances are no more legal at festivals, but if that doesn't put you off, at least be responsible (for your own sake). A bad drug hell (or alcohol poisoning) is 1000 times worse at a festival and you really don't wanna spend any more time than you have to in the toilets! |

Festivals on a BudgetJust because you're skint, doesn't mean you can't have fun at festivals! Whether it's tickets, travelling, eating, drinking or sleeping, there's always a way to economise - or even GET JOBS at festivals! |
