MUSICPORT WORLD MUSIC FESTIVAL 2008

Back for its ninth edition, the Musicport World Music Festival has upped sticks and moved to The Spa, Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire.

The event showcases an eclectic selection of music ranging from African music, folk and blues to rock, reggae and everything in between.

It's the UK's largest indoor world music event and it has housed the likes of Linton Kwesi Johnson, Rachid Taha and Courtney Pine in recent years. There are also workshops for adults and children, film and acoustic theatre pieces over the weekend.
