About Leigh Folk Festival 2009
The Leigh Folk Festival is centred at Library Gardens, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex and it claims to be the largest free folk festival
in the country. The event opens with sessions and singarounds on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before a full-day of concerts
and dancing in the Library Gardens on Saturday.
Then it moves to Old Leigh on Sunday where it houses five dance stages
and three music stages offering a choice selection of folk artists and entertainment that all culminates in a family barn
dance. There is plenty of alternative entertainment including children's activities.
