Festival organisers have decided to change the date of the event back to the original date of 4th June 2011
on police guidance to avoid disruption amongst festival goers from football fans.
"Unfortunately, the football
fixtures have now changed, which means that QPR are now playing at home on the 7th May, meaning Shepherds Bush will have another
25,000 people in the vicinity. The game is against Leeds and either team can win promotion.” A spokesperson from
Bushstock said.
In the interests of safety, organisers have moved the festival date but that will be one of the
only changes to the day. Organisers have confirmed that all 4 venus will remain as will the majority of the artists. Bushstock
organisers are staying optimistic and believe that moving the date will enable them to draw in some bigger headlines
and create more of a buzz about the festival.
“We do not want our friends and paying customers to experience
a potentially dangerous atmosphere on festival day, therefore we have moved the festival back to the 4th June." Added
the Bushstock spokesperson.
Tom William and the Boat, Sarah Blasko, Treetop Flyers,
Cloud Control were originally confirmed to play at
the one-day-only event.
Tickets are still available to Bushstock 2011 priced at £27.50 plus
booking fee
