The Mars Volta and more for Sonisphere

12 more acts will be rocking Knebworth this July

Joining them are Opeth, Killing Joke, Four Year Strong, The Black Dahlia Murder, Black Tide, Watain, Firewind, Rise To Remain, Alestorm, Six Hour Sundown and The Treatment.

Says Mars Volta guitarist Omar Rodríguez-López: "We're stoked to come and play. Everything I've heard about the festival has been positive, I'm sure it'll be great. Playing live for me is the best part of being in a band, I can't wait to get back out there. I'm excited to play the new songs."

Sonisphere 2011 (UK) returns to Knebworth House, Hertfordshire for it's strongest billing yet with Biffy Clyro, the return of Slipknot, and for the first time together on British soil, 'the Big Four' - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax.

Limp Bizkit, Weezer and You Me At Six will also perform across the three day festival which takes place from 8-10 July.
