Blondie, Mark Ronson top Camp Bestival 2011
First acts confirmed for music festival - buy tickets!

House of Pain, ABC, Clare Maguire and Katy B will
perform live over the weekend along with Eliza Doolittle, The Cuban Brothers, Beardyman
and The Correspondents.
The Wonder Stuff, Ms Dynamite, Wretch
32 and Ed Sheeran have been added too with Breakage feat. Jess Mills, The
Selecter, Fenech-Soler and Frankie And The Heartstrings pencilled in as well.
Other acts confirmed include Brandt Brauer Frick, Lau, Lucky Elephant,
The Crayonettes, Smerins Anti Social Club, Two Wounded Birds and Caitlin
Rose.
Jaipur Brass Band, Kawa Circus, Bajah And The Dry Eye
Crew, The Bad Shepherds, Marcus Foster, The Emerald Guard, Jellicle
Cats, The Widow Maker and Kathryn Williams will also play live.
Hitting
the decks will be Rob da Bank And Friends, Groove Armada who will present Red Light, Norman
Jay, DJ Yoda and David Rodigan along with London Elektricity,
The Nextmen, Dub Pistols Soundsystem, Channel One Soundsystem, Krafty
Kuts, A.Skillz, DJ Derek and Reggae Roast.
Mr
Tumble will also return along with ZingZillas, The Sooty Show With Soo And Sweep
along with festival exclusives from The Gruffalo (Live), Hugh’s River Cottage Café,
Gavin Turk’s House of Fairy Tales and The English National Ballet.
The
Sunday Best Forum Allstars and many more are set to appear over the weekend with more acts to be announced
soon.
As always, Camp Bestival will have 100’s of Free Things For Kids To Do as well as Gizzi Erskine, Medieval
Fancy Dress, a Freestyle Sports Park and more.
Camp Bestival curator Rob da Bank said: “This
year's Camp Bestival is going to be the best ever - we've geared up Lulworth Castle to be a total festi-holiday experience,
bringing back the spirit of the Great British Camping holiday with bells on.
“All this plus headline
performances from Blondie and
Mark Ronson, the return of the legend that is Mr Tumble - and even Sooty, Sweep and Soo are back to bring a bit of nostalgia
to the weekend. We can't wait here at Camp Besti HQ, so get your medieval costume in the bag and we’ll see you at the
end of July to kick of the school summer holidays in style! Hi De Hi.”
Organisers have also confirmed
that campsites will open on the Thursday (28 July)
Camp Bestival tickets are on sale now priced
at £170 for an adult weekend ticket (including camping), £160 for a student weekend ticket, £85
for 11-17 year old weekend camping ticket, while under 10s go free but must have a ticket.
