BBC 6Music DJ Huey Morgan, frontman with the Fun Lovin Criminals, has speculated whether Radiohead
will be playing Glastonbury Festival 2011.
The singer confirmed he will be playing Glastonbury and revealed that in a private conversation with Radiohead drummer Phil Selway he also confirmed he'll be at Glastonbury
Festival this June.
Huey said;
“We had Phil Selway, on the show a couple of weeks back, and
he was saying he might see me at Glastonbury because I’m gonna be playing, and if he’s going to be there he might
be playing. I don’t know, because he’s got a family and what not, he might not want to bring his whole family
there, so they might be playing, who knows?”
You can listen to a full recording of the show in question on
BBC's iPlayer - the
quote comes at 8 minutes.
The Sun published reports this past weekend that Coldplay
have been booked to headline the Saturday night of the festival.
It's believed U2 will open the festival on the Friday but the closing headline slot on Sunday 26th June is still
unconfirmed. Rumours persist that it will be a performance from Prince
but Madonna and Radiohead
both remain strong rumours after Isle Of Wight Festival boss (and Rolling Stones booking
agent) John Giddings denied claims the band will be playing the Pilton festival.
