V Festival 2004 Line-up Revealed!

We can can today announce that bands confirmed for the two-day V Festival include Muse, Pink, The Pixies, Dido, NERD, Primal Scream, Keane, Massive Attack, Snow Patrol, Jamie Cullum and Athlete. Dido and The Strokes will headline.

As previously announced, The Strokes will headline (on the Saturday at Chelmsford and Sunday at Staffs) on a bill that also includes their heroes The Pixies and buddies Kings Of Leon. Dido is billed as the headliner on the other day, although Muse will actually close the festival on that day.

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy said: "We last played V in 2001 and have been looking forward to coming back since then because it's a cool festival with a great vibe. The diverse styles of the bands performing always make for a really interesting line up".

The inclusion of both Pink and Dido on the main stage heralds a bold expansion of the event's pop leanings displayed in previous years (Kylie Minogue, Sugababes, Atomic Kitten and All Saints have previously appeared).
