Travis: No Festival Appearances This Year

For better or for worse (depending on your music taste and tolerance) Fran Healy tells XFM that the band won't be doing any festivals (except Glastonbury...)

No Travis for 2004 Festivals Season

Talking exclusively to XFM online (VF's radio station partner), Fran Healy confirmed that, following seemingly endless years of festival headline slots, the band won't be dusting down the Travis Winnebago this year.

"We'll definitely not be doing any festivals this year though. We've played every festival in the past few years, and now we just want to take a step back. We're going to try and get to Glastonbury though, but just as a punter this year."

Travis have certainly done the rounds in the past, and whilst a lot of people will certainly miss their melodic pop repertoire, at least it will give some new blood more chance to move up the bill at the bigger festivals. It will also mean that we might be in for another dry festival season as the chance of rain should be dramatically reduced now that THAT song isn't going to bring the cloudbursts that we've seen so often as Travis have reached the end of their set.
