Fairport's Cropredy Convention 2011 tickets go on sale

The event, billed by organisers as 'Britain's friendliest music festival', attracts around 20,000 music fans
for an electric folk and soft rock extravaganza.
Tickets are priced at £88.40 for a weekend
pass, plus £34.40 for a camping sticker.

Fairport Acoustic Convention will be welcoming revellers to the festival
on the Thursday (11 August) by opening the show with a short set.
At 4pm the Festival Bell will
sound in the village and Fairport will begin proceedings on stage, say organisers.
"We've always closed
the show," says Simon Nicol, "We just thought it would be nice to open it too!"
