RockNess takes home Line-Up Of The Year honour

Scottish event takes home UK Festival Award in London

Fatboy Slim, Leftfield and The Strokes helped RockNess secure a UK Festival Award this evening (Thursday), as the Scottish event was given the Line-Up Of The Year prize.

All three headlined the event back in June with Friendly Fires, Ian Brown, Vampire Weekend, Chase And Status, Pendulum and Aphex Twin all performing as well.

A jury of journalists and industry experts deliberated over the decision leading up to the Awards, looking for the festival that had the most vision when booking acts and taking into accounts their budgets.

The Best Major, Best Medium-Sized and Best Small festival awards are to be announced later tonight as the UK Festival Awards continue.
