Snowbombing snatches Best Overseas Festival at UK Festival Awards

Austrian event wins its first honour in London

Snowbombing has been named Best Overseas Festivals at tonight's (Thursday) UK Festival Awards.

The Austrian event, which had Fatboy Slim, 2ManyDJs and even Mr Motivator performing in 2010, mixed skiing and snowboarding with après ski parties with a number of live acts and DJs.

Organisers picked up the gong at a live ceremony at London’s indigO2.

The Best Major, Best Medium-Sized and Best Small festival awards are to be announced later tonight as the UK Festival Awards continue.
