Danish event donates money to Pakistan and Haiti

2,000 passes to the Danish event are available at this year’s prices, which means a full weekend with four days camping
beforehand available for DKK 1675 (plus booking fee).

Each year the festival donates the profits
in full to humanitarian and cultural projects, with DKK 1,000,000 given to the Danish Red Cross
to help the relief work in Pakistan following the floods earlier this year.
The Roskilde
Festival Charity Society, whose finances come from the profits from the annual Roskilde Festival, also donated DKK
100,000 to CARE’s humanitarian work in Haiti.
The Roskilde
Festival 2011 dates are 30 June to 3 July with camping available from 26-29
June.
The event will return to the town of Roskilde in Denmark.
