The group, put together from the producer of popular tribute act The Australian Pink Floyd Show, are set
to play for two and a half hours.
It is not yet clear which stage they will appear on.
Chas
Cole, CMP's managing director, said: "It's fantastic news. A big thank you to John Giddings for
his faith in our new Pink Floyd project. Isle of Wight is an amazing festival. Brit Floyd won't let him down."
Isle of Wight Festival 2011
will return to Seaclose Park in Newport on the Isle of Wight from 10-12 June.
Isle
Of Wight Festival tickets are not yet on sale. We will have a link when they become available.
Last week, organisers
asked fans to put a list of bands in order of preference, suggesting that the likes of Foo Fighters,
Rod Stewart and Kings Of Leon could be in the frame for appearing next year.
The
festival is expected to have two main stages of music as well as four other arenas and a fun fair to keep fans entertained
over the weekend.
