This summer looks likely to be dominated by the critic's darlings from Detroit. Jack White gave the strongest indication yet that the band would play The Carling Weekend Reading and Leeds Festivals during their set at London's Brixton Academy (January 30th)
The duo had to pull their headline dates at last year's festival when the singer broke an index finger in a road accident.
Although, none of the headline acts for the 2004 Carling Weekend have been officially confirmed both the band and the festival have now indicated their intention for it to happen.
However, much will no doubt depend upon certain forthcoming legal preceedings, and the accident-prone frontman avoiding any further trouble.
