Biffy's iffy setlist can't mar fantastic show
Scots rockers on fine form

Relying heavily on newer, radio-friendly recent albums 'Puzzle' and'Only Revolutions' rather than delving
into their stunning and complex back catalogue, Biffy ran the risk of dividing old fans skeptical of their
new direction and fame from new Radio 1 -listening fans. Indeed,'There's No Such Thing As A Jaggy Snake' from
2004 was met by complete indifference rather than the sing-a-long every new song received.
But newly-blonde Simon
Neil and the ginger brothers Johnston won out, putting on a mammoth rock show of undeniable genius
that proves they are ready to move even further up the bill at summer festivals of 2011.
Opening with the frantic
'That Golden Rule', they ploughed through other singles 'God & Satan' and 'Bubbles' while throwing
in 'There's No Such Thing As A Jaggy Snake' and 'Glitter & Trauma' as if just to please their older
followers.
Sound problems on the epic 'Many Of Horror' looked a mere inconvenience for Neil as
he quickly tossed the offending monitor to the ground and rocked on as if nothing had happened, to cheers from their massive
crowd.
Leeds Festival 2010 closes
tonight with Guns N' Roses set to headline despite claiming they would pull their show following delays
and clashes with organisers at Reading Festival on Friday (27 Aug) night.
