The Foals perfect for Reading sunset
A mixture of the anthemic and hits gets NME tent excited

"Have you guys had a good weekend, we've heard it's about to get a lot better," teased Philippakis
before the band shot through a riotous version of 'Cassius' to a tent that had quickly reached it's capacity.
The group, who were backed by bright blue lights, lifted the atmosphere as well as the fan's arms in for
crowd favourite 'Balloons'.
'Miami' which Philippakis explained, "is about
being betrayed on a beach," got the loudest cheer during the first half of the set as well as his nicely placed, "Reading
makes me feel at home."
The gentle intro to 'Spainish Sahara' was screamed and whistled
over forcing Philippakis to gesture the crowd to be quiet. Of course they didn't and chose instead to build the claps
before the drummer managed to reach the first bass kick.
The highlight for Phillippakis came when
he threw himself into the front row and was grappled by the energetic crowd during 'Vessels'.
