'Two Dancers' started proceedings, "hello guys, we are Wild Beasts," began Hayden Thorpe
before remarking, "let's get closer," as the band went into 'This Is Our Lot'.
"Good
on you all for braving the weather, we all expected a cracker!" commented Thorpe. There was an airing for
'This Is Our Lot' and first single, 'Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants'.
'Two Dancers
(I)', the band's, "love song," is given a theatrical and powerful rendition mid-set while 'Dancing On
Our Tongues' gets the crowd grooving to dry off. The set was concluded with 'Hootin' And Howlin'' after
Tom Fleming commented, "Jesus we don't know what to say, the sun is out and you are still here!"
Reading Festival continues today (29 Aug) with performances from Band Of Horses,
We Are Scientists, Weezer and many more.
