Taking to the stage 20 minutes late and without their keyboard player, Californian three-piece fought of the competition
of the first of the weekend's good weather and tempted a sizeable crowd to watch inside the tent.
"We are here to entertain you," declared Avi as the band took to the stage.
Album highlights, 'Five Little Sluts' and 'Margot' are warmly received but it is the opener, 'What's It In For?' that gets the largest cheer of the set and had those who were previously basking in the sun, running in to join in with the backing vocals.
Reading Festival 2010 continues with sets from Guns n' Roses, Queens Of The Stone Age and more.
