Harmonies and hooks insure Warpaint are a hit in the Festival Republic stage.

The highly anticipated female four-piece proved that music critics and bloggers alike weren't wrong in their praise for the American outfit.

Close harmonies, style and deep grove bass lines ensured that a busy tent shouted and clapped enthusiastically throughout the set.

The band remained quiet between songs with, "thanks for having us,” being much as they could muster. But this evening the audience didn't mind, they were just happy to be treated to the first dance of the weekend.
