Modest Mouse fail to shine at Leeds
Rain and a difficult set list dampen the quirky Yanks' performance

The multi-instrumental Yanks started in promising form with both 'Third Planet' and 'Dashboard' belting
out from the Main Stage.
But true to form, the banjo sporting group delved into a hit-and-miss back catalogue which
never embraced an indifferent crowd.
'Satin In A Coffin' was another brief highlight in a frustrating hour
which didn't do justice to the band's talent.
Newcastle's Greg Walker, 32, said: "I'd
have loved to have heard more from 'We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank' but I enjoyed what they played.”
Leeds Festival 2010 continues with sets from Arcade Fire, The Libertines and more.
