Experts called to save Reading Festival from flooding
Preparations put in place for bad weather

Sam Chapman - 27 August 2010
The agency, along with site crew, yesterday (26 August) pumped a quarter of a million gallons of water away from the site
to prevent further waterlogging.
Melvin Benn, managing director of Festival Republic said in a
statement: "I am extremely grateful to them [Environmental Agency]. We have obviously experienced heavy rainfall
over the past couple of days but the rest of the weekend is looking good – here's to another great Reading Weekend."
The weather is expected to improve over the weekend with only light showers predicted for today (27 August), according
to Metcheck.
Tickets to the festival have sold out. If you weren't one of the lucky ones to get a ticket
then viagogo
have been announced as the official secondary ticketing partner by organisers Festival Republic who run Reading,
Leeds and Latitude.
The site guarantees the transaction and
delivery of tickets so fans who buy will actually get their tickets, and fans who sell will actually get
paid.
