'American artist to headline Glastonbury 2011'
Eavis: It's someone we've wanted for 'years and yonks'

According to Heart West Country Radio producer Joe O’Brien on Twitter,
Michael Eavis has said that he’s secured the services of someone he’s wanted for ‘years
and yonks’.
He Tweeted:"Michael Eavis tells Heart West Country a "American artist" he's
wanted for "years and yonks" is booked to headline Glastonbury 2011."
Early rumours suggest
that Prince or Madonna could be in the frame for next June.
Eavis previously
said that he’d already booked two headliners and approached U2 to play after they cancelled their show
this year.
Glastonbury 2011 registration is open now.
Glastonbury Festival 2011 will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset
from 22-26 June.
Glastonbury 2011 tickets are expected to go on sale on 3 October.
