Behemoth, October File out of Bloodstock

Cathedral and Winterfylleth step in to replace them

Cathedral will step in to replace Behemoth after singer Nergal was rushed to hospital, while Winterfylleth will now play the event after October File’s Ben Hollyer injured his stomach at Sonisphere Festival earlier this month.

“Unfortunately I have had to pull out of performing at BOA this year and our first year too,” said Hollyer, “I am absolutely gutted that we can't be there. A recent injury involving my abdominal muscles tearing down the middle has made performing not possible. Have a good BOA!!”

Organisers have not disclosed the reason for the Nergal being taken to hospital.

Speaking about their last minute inclusion, Chris Naughton of Winterfylleth said: "Winterfylleth are truly humbled to be asked to play at one of the finest metal festivals going on within our fair shores.

“It is a privilege for us as existing fans of the festival to now be considered amongst some of the great bands that are playing at the festival this year. We are looking forward to standing alongside acts like Gorgoroth, Behemoth and many others, bringing our brand of English inspired Black Metal to such a discerning and committed festival following. We look forward to seeing you there. Hail Bloodstock".

Tickets are available at £104.90 plus booking fees for an adult weekend camping pass and £44.95 plus booking fees for a child camping pass.

Car parking costs £10 in advance and camper van parking costs £30 in advance. Both cost £5 more if bought on the gate.
