First names for Freeze Festival 2010 revealed

The Nextmen, Krafty Kuts and Ms Dynamite will also appear at the three-day event, which takes place at Battersea Power Station, London from 29-31 October.

Scratch Perverts, mash-up king Jaguar Skills, Charlie G, Klimax and Benny MC have been inked in to play as well alongside Bedouin Soundclash and Welsh rockers Skindred.

Andrew Topham, Event Director, commented: “Last year, our unique offering of world class winter sports combined with cutting-edge global and UK acts attracted over 20,000 festival-goers to the action at Battersea. This year’s event will see our biggest and best line up to date, and we are delighted to announce the first acts to perform under the iconic towers.  Look out for further acts to be announced, including the headliners for Saturday and Sunday.”

Freeze Festival tickets are priced at £36 for a day pass, £86 for a season pass (three days), with a child’s day ticket at £15 and a child’s season ticket at £35.   

Friday ‘After Work Tickets’ will offer access to the festival from 6.30pm. These are priced at £20.

The event will also see the world’s best skiers and snowboarders competing on the specially erected 100m long, 32m high real snow ramp, which for three days becomes an iconic site across London.

The riders throw themselves off the huge jump performing their best tricks for World ranking points and a share of the prize purse.

Over the last two years, Olympic medalists Danny Kass, Peetu Piiroinen, Scotty Lago have battled it out with the best of the Brits beneath the iconic Battersea Power Station towers.
