Muse storm through headline set at T In The Park

The Devon trio effortlessly stroll through a greatest hits outing
which shames all that have taken the stage before them.
'Black Hole and Revelations', 'Feeling Good',
'Plug In Baby' and closing number 'Knights of Cydonia' sound absolutely massive amid a hypnotizing light show.
Earlier in the day openers of the premier stage; colourful rockers The Big Pink and London songstress Paloma Faith (who stakes a claim for a comedy tent
slot by asking the crowd to mosh) go about their business with minimal fuss but it's down to Editors to do the massive field justice with their emotionally soaked indie swelling the crowds
in the early evening.
In the King Tut's Wah Wah Tent it's hard to hold a thought as 3OH!3 deliver their take on electro hip hop to an near capacity King Tuts tent.
The
sun-kissed Stateside boys close a triumphant set with a Katy Perry-less 'Don't Trust Me' with the crowd begging
for more.
Donning shades to welcome the unexpected summer sun, The Temper Trap brighten up the day by joking about how the drenched Scots are doing.
Slightly
cheeky on the Temper T's part, but as Balado dried out the thousands congregating at the Radio 1/NME stage are happy to
reply with a wave of euphoria. 'Sweet Disposition' is dedicated to “all the sexy motherfuckers out there.”
Cockney rhymer Jamie T counts a fun-lover dressed
head-to-toe as Mr Blobby among his fans.
As expected, a hyped-up set filled with fan-favourites such as “If
You Got The Money” and “Brother”, Jamie T doesn't disappoint.
A possible downside is the poor sound due to the wind,
but never-the-less, '368', anthem 'Emily's Heart' and The Clash cover 'I Fought The Law' help
us forget about the annoying breeze.
Wearing the same dress for the umpteenth year, and not solely kept for T,
Florence Welsh of Florence and The Machine
whines her way through hits 'Dog Days Are Over' and 'Drumming Song'.
Despite an acceptance of her
apparent lack of hygiene from her fans, Florence, sparkling and shining storms her way through her hour long slot. Cover 'You
Got the Love' blows the roof off, if indeed T had a roof over it.
Tomorrow fans can look forward to sets by
Eminem, Mumford and Sons and The Prodigy...
