Due to popular demand, Healthy T returns to Balado with two locations for 2010.
The Scottish Government supported areas continue to raise the bar in festival cuisine and is the place to relax and take
time out.
Situated in the same area of the Main Arena as before with several new additions, Healthy T
can now also be found in Sunset Strip in the campsite so wherever festival goers are they can refuel, rehydrate and relax
in order to be in tip top condition for enjoying T in the Park.
The global kitchen will have everything from falafels
and fresh sushi, soup, smoothies and stovies, with over 26 tasty outlets to choose from.
At Healthy T fans will
be entertained by Bearded Kitten pranksters creating merriment with games such as Blind Date Dancing and
Air Band Bonanza, The Flyin’ Jalapenos break dancing troupe, street theatre by the Gaiety Engine and
the Cairn String Quartet.
There will also be drumming and art workshops, or if that all sounds a little
bit too active, plenty of bean bags, deck chairs and picnic tables and enjoy the laid back tunes.
Located in the
Main Arena near to Healthy T, festival goers are this year encouraged to jump on bikes in the Eco Charge Pedal Power
Tent to charge their mobiles and cameras and to visit an art exhibition, a solar cinema and organisations to join
in with the debate about the future of this lovely land as part of the Eco Village.
The Hard Rain Climate
Change Exhibition will display photographs from around the world illustrating every line of Bob Dylan’s prophetic
song, creating a moving exploration of the state of our planet. Green Thing will be on hand in the
Eco Village focusing on their seven things individuals can do to lead a greener life.
Oxfam
will also be on site, St Margaret’s of Scotland Hospice ‘Sartorial Salvage’ Tent will help
fans rejuvenate their wardrobes without hurting their pockets.
Friends of the Earth Scotland will
be in residence in the Eco Village and T in the Park will continue to develop its commitment to environmental issues by joining
the 10:10 Campaign this year.
T In The Park 2010 will
take place at Balado Airfield, Scotland from 9-11 July.
