Rock Ness 2010 11-13 June

What is it?

For one weekend a year, Nessie isn’t the prime attraction at Scotland’s Loch Ness. This monster (groan) event features an exciting line up of old and new musical giants over six stages. Friendly Fires
– A St Albans based foursome offer up a modern take on indie dance. Their groove is perfect to get you in the festival mood.

Back from the heroics of a last minute site move in 2009, Beach Break Live organisers have found another ideal location for the student-only festival, this time in Wales. So expect miles of beach to laze about on as well as a massive Go Ape adventure playground that will turn uni-goers into children – not that it’s hard. There is loads to get involved with too such as beach parties, mass paint fights, silent discos and a rock legends fancy dress finale.

Three to see:
Calvin Harris
– The producer has more hits than you’ve had hot dinners (probably) celebrate the start of summer with this headliner.

Chase and Status
– This will be the bands second appearance at the festival, expect guest appearances from Plan B vocalist and Andy Gangadeen on the drums.

Elle Goulding – Up and coming star Elle will get her audience moving with her unique voice and dance sounds.

Can I get tickets?

Yes, if you’re a student a full ticket with camping is £89 but remember to take student I.D. Despite organisers declaring the event to be students only, non-students can attend at a cost of £109 which includes with camping. Be quick though, there are only 800 tickets left and they’re selling fast.

Judge Jules
– Known world wide for his outstanding trance music, Judge Jules should be at the top of your priorities.
