The Prodigy to play Spirit of Burgas festival

The group, who transcended the electronic and alternative genres in the 90’s with hits that include ‘Smack My
Bitch Up’ and the renowned floor filler ‘Firestarter’, are also set to perform at this year’s Bestival
and V Festival.
Other acts confirmed today include DJ Kofi and Roland aka the
Gorillaz Sound System, who will be performing a 90 minute audio/visual Gorrilaz spectacular, System Of A
Down singer Serj Tankian and Liverpudlian techno rockers Apollo 440.
Experimental
hip-hop star DJ Shadow and drum ‘n’ bass DJ Andy C complete the names announced
today (Tuesday).
Tickets for Spirit of Burgas festival are available now priced €70
for a full weekend ticket with camping, while a one day pass will cost €50. Ticket prices are
set to increase from 14 May.

Spirit of Burgas is one of Europe’s
most exciting festival prospects having been nominated for both the ‘Best European Festival’ and ‘Best Overseas
Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards in the past three years
It was also shortlisted for ‘Best Medium
Sized Festival’ at this year’s inaugural European Festival award in January.
The venue, situated
on the shore of the Black Sea, offers sun, sea and sand with seven stages and over one hundred acts set to play.
Spirit of Burgas 2010 will take place
on Central Beach in Burgas, Bulgaria, from 13-15 August.
