Fisherman's Friends for Cornbury Festival

Having delighted locals for over fifteen years on the north Cornwall coast, Fisherman’s Friends released their debut album this month, which is hotly tipped to break in to the Top Ten now their appeal has gone national.

Revealed alongside the Cornish men today (23 April) were New Yorkers Angus and Julia Stone who are set to play from their much anticipated second album ‘Down The Way’, American singer-songwriter and Scrubs favourite Joshua Radin, melodic rocker Ben Montague, folk-man Jon Allen as well as the eclectic folk-jazz sound of the Lucinda Belle Orchestra.

The latest confirmation join an exciting and eccentric line up for this year’s event which features singer-songwriter David Gray, new wave pop quintet Squeeze, one of the last surviving true bluesmen Buddy Guy, garage influenced indie rockers Noisettes, singer Imelda May, indie rocker Newton Faulkner and jazz maestro Dr. John.

Organisers have worked on improving the camping for this year’s event and are now offering a choice of your own yurt, tipi, podpad, bellepad, bow-top gypsy caravan or pre-erected tent, some of which even offer a dedicated shower or loo.

Tickets for this summer’s Cornbury Festival are available now priced £115 for an adult weekend camping ticket while children (13-16 years) are £67 with camping and the under 12s go free. Day tickets are also available for £55 for an adult and £27 for kids (13-16 years).

Cornbury Music Festival 2010 will take place at Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire from 3-4 July.

Cornbury is a small family-friendly festival that which boasts everything from folk and rock to world music and blues as well as a well-stocked bar with a wide selection of beers, ales, ciders, champagnes and wines on sale.

The festival will also have street performers, children's entertainment, workshops and a fairground to keep kids of all ages amused, even the adults.
