The festivals’ organisers Festival Republic have been constantly warning of bogus ticket sites since
tickets came on sale at the end of March.
Last week though, they closed down two fan pages claiming to offer free Reading tickets, which were in fact third party phishing scams.
Reading and Leeds bosses have reported that Worldwideticketstore.com and JustTheTicket.uk.com, two of the sites that they issued warning about on their unauthorised outlet list, had disappeared from the internet and urged anyone who had used them to report the matter to their Local Trading Standards Office and the Police.
A list of all official ticket agents, partners and web pages is located on the Reading and Leeds websites under the ‘Ticket’ section.
Festival Republic has urged people not to register with any third party claiming to represent the festivals and have set up an information line for anyone who is unsure – the number is 0207 009 3001.
Guns n’ Roses, Blink 182 and Arcade Fire will headliner both festivals will host the return of The Libertines as well as Dizzee Rascal, Biffy Clyro, Queens Of The Stone Age and many more.

Tickets to both festivals have sold out. If you weren't one of the lucky ones to get a ticket to the festivals then viagogo have just been announced as the official secondary ticketing partner by organisers Festival Republic who run Reading, Leeds and Latitude.
The site guarantees the transaction and delivery of tickets so fans who buy will actually get their tickets, and fans who sell will actually get paid.
viagogo promises that it will not sell a ticket it doesn’t have, so check the viagogo site for more ticket options.
Reading Festival 2010 will take place at St John’s Farm, Reading and Leeds Festival 2010 is set to be housed at Branham Park, Yorkshire. Both will take place from 27-29 August.
