DJs confirmed for Wakestock
Pete Tong,
Fedde le Grand and Audio Bullys have been added to the Wakestock 2010 line-up. They join the likes of Eric Prydz, Norman Jay, Skream and Zinc down the dance orientated
route at the festival. For those that prefer more rock pop artists then there's always, Maximo Park, The Ting Tings, Band
of Skulls and Plan B with more still to announce.

First names for Bloodstock’s
Sophie Lancaster Stage
Benediction, Witchsorrow, Enforcer,
Killing Machine and Steelwing are among the first names for the Sophie Lancaster
Stage. Heaven And Hell, Twisted Sister, Children Of Bodom and Fear Factory are all set to play already.

Dance stage names announced for
Sellindge Music Festival
Yousef, Jack Beats and Tom Middleton
are among the acts confirmed for Dance stage at this year’s Sellindge Music Festival along with Ross Kemp and Jeff Barker,
Echo Vacio, Deep Milo, Thom Norton, Keydin And Episodes, Alien FM, Twisted DJs, Scott Harris, My Mate Dave, Mums Old Vinyl,
Disted Twisco, Go Bang, Psychmagik, Damon Martin (Disco Bloodbath), Severino and Horse Meat Disco.

Arts and musical crafts at
Latitude
Joining the Obelisk Arena will be The Unthanks and Race Horses,
while Daniel Kitson And Gavin Osborn will present Stories For The Starlit Sky on The Waterfront Stage. In the Cabaret
Arena will be The Crack Presents: Miss Behave, Phil Kay, Paul Zenon, Kalki Hula Girl, Raymond And Mr. Timpkins, Tom Flanagan
and Jon Hicks with John Stammers and Thepetebox doing poetry and The Kominas in the Film And Music Arena. There will
also be comedy from Funny Women Awards Showcase and Terry Alderton and Jonathan Jeremiah in the Word Arena.

Guilfest are taking things up a
notch to Level 42
Guilfest have announced more bands with Level 42,
10cc, The Blockheads and The Blackout joining the already announced Orbital,
The Human League, Status Quo, N-Dubz, Just Jack, Kid
Creole And The Coconuts, Hawkwind, Hadouken! and Chase and Status
(DJ set).

More acts for Liverpool Sound City
Joining the Maccabees on their underage
show at Liverpool Sound City with support from Los Campesinos! and London trio Is
Tropical.
The live line up for Sound City continues to grow with shows from Wax Fang playing
the Zanzibar, Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster at the Krazyhouse and The Delta Fiasco at
Korova. On 20 May Eugene McGuiness And The Lizards will play the Zanzibar and Daisy Dares You
hits Korova. Another Matinee show The Blackout “Glow Stick Party” takes place at the Masque theatre
on Saturday 22 May for all ages. Also on the final day of the festival is Fionn Regan at Static Gallery,
Beth Jeans Houghton at Studio 2 and Sound of Guns at the Kazimier.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor to
curate, play Nightmare Before Christmas
Concluding the celebrations of 10 Years of ATP, organisers have
confirmed Godspeed You! Black Emperor as curators of Weekend 1 of Nightmare Before Christmas
festival this December.
Speaking about the decision ATP Founder Barry Hogan: "Godspeed
performed at the Bowlie Weekender as well as at some our early ATP festivals, and so we are very proud to have one of our
favourite bands back after a long break to conclude our 10th anniversary."
The festival weekend will
run from the 3-5 December at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead featuring around 40 bands
picked by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, who will also perform.
Dates and headliners announced
for Supersonic
Birmingham’s Supersonic Festival is due to run from 22-24
October with Swans on headlining duties.

New festivals
Introducing the
London Electronic Dance Festival
David Guetta and Leftfield are to headline
the London Electronic Dance Festival, which will take place at Victoria Park, London from
27-28 August. There will be support from Goldfrapp, Soulwax, Friendly
Fires, Calvin Harris, Aphex Twin and Audio Bullys with Annie
Mac set to play in her own arena. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
An excited
Neil Barnes from Leftfield said: "I’m really excited about playing my home town. It's been
too long! The line up for the L.E.D is fantastic. It's great to be up there with Aphex, Goldfrapp and Friendly
Fires, all artists I admire. Let the bass roar!"
First ever NME Weekender
NME have announced that they are to host their own festival. The brand new event will take place at Camber Sands
from 5-7 November with performances from – guess who – Babyshambles, British
Sea Power, Chew Lips, Citadels, The Crookes, Goldhawks
and more to be announced.
Speaking about it Krissi Murison, editor of NME said: “This
will be an amazing weekend for live music with some of the most exciting bands and hottest new music all under one roof. With
no concerns about the weather this is going to be all about the party!”
