Hook will be discussing his book ‘How Not to Run a Club’, which charts the success and eventual downfall of the
infamous Hacienda nightclub in Manchester, owned by his band’s record label boss Tony Wilson.
The club helped kick-start the acid house and Madchester scenes of the 80s and early 90s and Hook was a forefront witness
to this remarkable era, ensuring that his set at Latitude should be one not to miss.
Festival organisers have announced
a wide array of other arts, film and comedy events to take place over the weekend across several stages.
Highlights
include stand up comedy from Mark Watson, a Q&A and discussion with British film director and screenwriter
Paul Greengrass and a set from Radio 2 DJ Mark Lamarr, during which he will also be introducing
live music from The Skatroniks, Noel McKoy and The Mummers.
Latitude Festival 2010 takes place at Henham Park in Southwold, Suffolk from 15-18 July.
This year’s headliners are Florence and the Machine, Belle and Sebastian and
Vampire Weekend.
