The San Francisco troubadour, heavily influenced by the classic travelling-hobo style Delta-blues from the early 20th century,
has proved a popular hit with crowds on the festival scene in recent years.
V Festival Director Bob Angus
said: "With such a great talent in the form of Seasick Steve joining the V Festival bill, the weekend is set to be a corker, offering the cream
of the crop from the current music scene joined by some timeless classics. As always we aim to deliver the best line-up and
offer something that everyone can enjoy. This now takes us up to over 40 confirmed acts, with plenty still to come."
Headlining this year’s festival are King of Leon and Kasabian, with plenty
of other bands already confirmed, including Stereophonics, Faithless, The Prodigy
and Pet Shop Boys.
