Jay-Z cancels Reading & Leeds shows

Jay-Z has pulled out of the Carling Weekend: Reading & Leeds Festivals with only two weeks' notice. The Darkness will take his place on the line-up, thereby switching from the day they were previously scheduled to appear.

The rapper was due to play between Staind and Placebo at Reading (Friday, August 22) and Leeds (Saturday, 23 August). No explanation has been given for the cancellation. The Darkness had previously been due to appear at Reading on the Saturday and Leeds on the Sunday.
