Delphic, The Fall, more for Liverpool Sound City

Welsh hardcore group The Blackout, Young Guns and My Passion will all play at The Masque Theatre on Friday 21 May while Everything Everything and Egyptian Hip Hop will support Delphic.

Speaking about the announcement, festival director Dave Pichilingi said: "We are delighted to be announcing a number of amazing new acts for Liverpool Sound City 2010. Delphic and The Blackout are two of the hottest bands around at the moment and we are also proud to present a truly legendary band in the shape of The Fall. Watch out for many more announcements over the coming weeks."

Festival wristbands, which allow access to all the shows at the event, are available now at £45.

Full delegate tickets, which allow access to the gigs, events and conference, are priced at £150. Tickets for individual gigs are also on sale.

Liverpool Sound City 2010
will take place at various venues around Liverpool from 19-22 May.

The festival will showcase local and national talent and it is a chance for industry insiders, promoters, tastemakers to sign the next big thing and music lovers to discover their favourite new band.

Various venues around the city's cultural quarter will provide a platform for bands and artists to show off their skills, but there will also be conferences and panels held over the weekend as well as label-hosted nights.
