Eminem, Muse to headline T In The Park 2010

The Scottish appearance will be rapper Eminem’s
first European date for five years when he hits the main stage, while Matt Bellamy’s Muse are set for another intergalactic performance in Balado.
Not
stopping there, festival bosses have added hip hop legend Jay-Z to proceedings alongside
Black Eyed Peas, who will also be making their way across the Atlantic.
The Prodigy and Faithless are set to appear on the
live dance front with Carl Cox, David Guetta,
Slam and Erol Alkan among those to get behind
the decks.
Speaking about the announcement, organiser Geoff Ellis said: "Our line-up is already undeniably strong and diverse this year and we’ve still got
lots more up our sleeves to announce.
“Shaping the bill for Scotland's
finest and favourite festival is an absolute honour and I can’t wait for July 8th when the campsite gates open for the
Thursday night campers and the party begins in true T in the Park style. I’m delighted with our artist announcements
and hope the T in the Park audience has another great weekend to remember!"
Other names confirmed today
include Stereophonics, Florence and the Machine,
Vampire Weekend, 30 Seconds To Mars, The Cribs, Mumford And Sons and Dizzee
Rascal.
Paolo Nutini, Biffy Clyro,
The View and The Proclaimers will also represent
Scotland at this year’s event alongside Calvin Harris, John Mayer, Hot Chip, Goldfrapp,
Wolfmother, Plastikman and Skunk Anansie.
Newton Faulkner, The
Coral, Rise Against, La Roux, The Gossip and emerging starlet Ellie Goulding are also due to perform
as well as punk rockers The Stranglers, The Temper
Trap, Broken Social Scene and Dirty Projectors.
Four Tet, Mayer Hawthorne and the Country,
Fake Blood, Two Door Cinema Club and Black Mountain complete the first batch of act.
Tickets are due to go on sale this Friday (26 February) at 9am. A ticket link will appear here when available.
T In The Park 2010 will
take place in Balado, Kinross-shire from 9-11 July
with 85,000 fans expected to attend.
