Craig Charles confirms his fantasy funk band will play both festivals

18 February 2010
The Red Dwarf and Coronation Street actor, who put the group together for a special performance on the station, will now
take the act to the two events he DJed at last year.
When a listener on this show wrote in to ask: are the
fantasy funk band playing Glastonbury this year and is there any chance of roping Stevie Wonder in too? the presenter
replied: “We are playing at Glastonbury and we are playing The Big Chill.”
Craig Charles is also expected to DJ at both events. The funk super group that played on Charles’
show in 2009 was made up of James Taylor, John Turrell, Dionne Charles,
Eddie Roberts, Snowboy, Mike Bandoni, Ernie McKone and
The Haggis Horns.
Glastonbury Festival
2010 will take place on Worthy Farm, Somerset, from 23-27 June, while The Big Chill 2010 will take place at Eastnor Castle
from 5-8 August. Tickets are currently off sale for the event.
