Following their reformation last year, the pop punk trio have been rumoured to return to a UK event this summer for the first
time since 2003.
However, the only festival dates the group are currently confirmed for are German festivals Area
4 and Highfield.
In an interview with MTV, the tattooed tub thumper
revealed that Blink 182 are
set to spend six weeks in Europe. "We go to Europe in August for all the festivals […] we do, like, six weeks
out there, and then our album will come out probably early next year,” he said.
The drummer revealed
that he hoped the band would then be in the studio later in the year, for an album release next spring.
Soundgarden and My Chemical Romance are strongly rumoured as headliners for Reading and Leeds
and if Blink 182 are confirmed, it would make three American
headliners for 2010.
