Hot Chip hint at Glastonbury 2010 appearance
United Kingdom | 20 January 2010
Hot Chip frontman Alexis Taylor has suggested that the group are likely to play this year's Glastonbury Festival.
Speaking to Radio 1, the singer lacked subtly when speaking about the group’s upcoming summer schedule.
"You'll potentially see us in the Somerset area of the UK around the end of June I'd imagine," he said, "I have been to that part of the world and enjoyed being there. Nice cider there, good music and good atmosphere."
U2 are set to headline the event, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Muse are likely to be named alongside them at the top of the bill with Radiohead, Coldplay and Stevie Wonder touted as the third headliner.
Vampire Weekend, Andy Williams and Squeeze have all been confirmed or self-confirmed themselves, while Fatboy Slim, MGMT, Spandau Ballet and Friendly Fires are rumoured to be appearing.
