Last week to enter Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition
As Delphic say they 'really, really want to play' the event this year

East Londoners, My Luminaries have already been chosen
to play the Queen's Head Stage through the competition.
“With their heady mix of
great melody lines and infectious hooks, it sounds like My Luminaries have the coolest record collection ever,” said Dave Henderson, producer
of the Queen's Head Stage, before adding that he was, “looking forward to seeing them at the festival.”
Bands are judged by music experts from the festival (Michael and Emily Eavis), BBC
Radio One (Huw Stephens), and Q Magazine (Paul Rees).
Judges pick 11 of the
finalists and ten runner-ups which will battle it out in a public vote for the precious 12 spot. The final 12 will all perform
at the finals in Pilton.
Entry requirements are that performers must not be signed to a major label and is based
in UK or Ireland. To enter, upload two tracks HERE.
The upload section of the site is open until 25 January 2010.
Each entry costs £11.95,
which covers the running costs of the competition and the event finals. The live finals will be held at the end of March 2010.
In other Glastonbury news, rising stars Delphic have admitted that they’d relish the chance
to perform at this year’s event.
Speaking to Gigwise, singer James Cook said: “I grew up going to Glastonbury and we didn’t
get to play there last year so I really, really want to play there this year.”
Muse and
Radiohead are still rumoured for the 40th anniversary of the festival along with a host of other acts.

Glastonbury Festival 2010 will
take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset from 23-27 June.
Tickets to the
event have completely sold out but there will be a number of returns from 5 April.
