Speaking at the UK Festival Awards last night (Thursday), organiser Lisa Paulon announced the event’s
future plans, which they hope will include two outdoor stages.
Paulon said, "We have two big outdoor stages
planned, subject to license, and part of the reason of moving to the weekend is that in 2011 we’re actually having a
Friday night, so it will be a three-day festival. This is where we’ll stick from now on - it has been our long-term
plan to do that. But it is also so we could get these outdoors stages in an urban setting."
Camden Crawl
picked up Best Metropolitan Festival at last night Awards ceremony. Speaking about how it felt to win the
prize Paulon said, "It feels really good, we’ve been going for so long and never really had any recognition
for anything we’ve ever achieved. I suppose when you’re caught in the middle of something like this you’re
just working and having nightmares and not sleeping, then it finishes and you go on holiday and it starts again. And you never
really think that people appreciate it that much."
Camden Crawl 2010 will take place at several venues around Camden, north London from 1-2
May.
Tickets for the event are on sale now priced at £51.
