I can't comment on the DJ awards but at the UK Festival Awards we have no control over who wins (most of them are voted for by the public and the rest by a segregated panel) or the coverage generated by the media. The Awards exist solely to celebrate, unite and help strengthen the festival industry, end of.

Its such a shame that Creamfields won it's award as this years event was such a let down after the previous years effort. It really felt like they (the organisers) were only after our money and couldn't give two ****s about the punters once we were all inside. I certainly won't be attending one of their festivals ever again! Sonisphere on the other hand was brilliant and thouroughly deserves it best new festival win! The organisation was outstanding and the event staff were on the ball the whole time. Well done guys and looking forward to 2010's showing.
