Muse to headline Big Day Out

The band, led by Matt Bellamy, will top the bill at the touring festival which runs from 15-31 January
2010 taking in Auckland, NZ (15) before heading to the Gold Coast (17), Sydney
(22), Melbourne (26), Adelaide (29) and Perth (31) in Oz.
Lily Allen, Groove Armada, Dizzee Rascal, Kasabian, The
Horrors and Calvin Harris are among the British contingent in tow with Powderfinger,
Eskimo Joe, Grinspoon and The Mars Volta also set to play.
Other
acts announced includes Ladyhawke, Karnivool, Peaches, The Temper
Trap and local lads Midnight Juggernauts.
Rise Against, Magic
Dirt, Mastodon, Lisa Mitchell and Blue Juice will also be playing
at all six shows with Kischasy, The Decemberists, Tame Impala and Girl
Talk also confirmed.
Tickets will be available next month with passes on sale for Sydney on 7
October, Gold Coast on 8 October and all remaining shows on 9 October.
More names to be announced.
